And the Lord works once again...

Well I still haven't found what the Lord would have me do but it does seem he is keeping me busy. Yesterday I volunteered my assistance to our pastor who is trying to finish his house. After spending all day helping him and his wife, I came back to Fairbanks to pick Snowcamak up from work. During my wait, I was able to catch a quick nap before the trek up to Chena Hotsprings for Thursday night services.
When we got to Church, it was mentioned that a couple of people wanted to talk with me about some work. Puzzled, I waited to see what I was in for. The message was about preventing the loss of knowledge through the generations. It was a great message. The Lord even got me out of my 'comfort zone' when the pastor mentioned about having the youth lead a service or 2 in the coming year. I will be praying that the Lord shows me what he wants me to do when the time comes..... I am still nervous mostly because I still believe I am not a leader nor teacher. I guess I will find out eventually.
After services, I was approached by two of the members and was asked to help them on some projects they were working on. I know they are watching out for me and it is wonderful to help fellow members. I almost haven't been this happy in years. I continuously receive more joy as I go. So many questions of what He has next for me...... and the answers will reveal themselves in due time. Lord willing, he will give me patience to wait for the answers!

Well that is all the news for now. I hope to post in time for Christmas but if'n I don't, I wish you a JOYOUS Christmas.

...

Well, it may seem like I somehow forgot about my blog(s) but I just have been preoccupied with other projects. You know, the normal helping parents, helping others, working on my projects, and even the resume. It has been a real break in routine by not having to venture to town every day. It makes it easier on gas mileage too. :)

It is nice to finally be getting some sleep. While the temp was +20F, my apartment was miserable. It is a trick regulating the heat when the heat does not have a thermostat. I have even dreamed and that is rather unusual.

In other news, I am looking forward to Christmas. It means that the local radio stations will be resuming their normal broadcasts and not the Christmas music they have been playing 24-hours. Don't get me wrong, I like Christmas music, but I am really dislike the repetition of songs by the different artists. Why can't it be plain, simple, and from the heart like we sing at Church?

Speaking of Church... Services are swell. The fellowship and love continues to be what we all need. The messages too! The Lord is bringing what we need to hear, even though we may not like the particular subject. It was rather quiet last Sunday afternoon when the pastor was preaching about the home, but everyone joined in a lively fellowship when the Sunday meal was served. It is nice to be in a Church that the Lord continues to bless. Well, I should be going. I will try to post more.

Until later...

Just when you think everything is fine...

something happens to prove you wrong. It seems like the devil has been working overtime in the lives of the members of our church. Among the news of one of the members having a potential heart problem.. I receive news that my last day of work was Friday. I now find myself looking for another job. I am sure that the Lord is allowing this trial and will provide a better job in due time. In the mean time, I will begin working on my resume and pray that the Lord shows me what he will have me do next. Over the years, and though the two jobs I have held, He is in control. I should specify that I am also armed with the knowledge that I did not do anything wrong but once again a "reduction of forces" (to many people working) has ended my job. Oh well... I am not worried for the Lord will provide. In the mean time, keep me in prayers. Will keep you updated!

In other news, Church went well. Services could not have been more cheerful. The messages could not have been more encouraging had they been planned. It still is amazing how the Lord continues to work (and His timing!). Well, until later!
